The Ming Dynasty of China 1368 ~ 1644.
Coins and paper money were used. The paper money is the earliest collectable currency note. The silver dollar of Spain and other countries were being accepted for use within China. From around the 15th century coins degraded in quality against silver. In the Southern areas coins vertually disapeared and items such as clothe and cowrie were used instead.
Most of the coins i have to offer from the Ming Dynasty were located from a wreck off the coast of Java, Indonesia. As i get more coins in and sort out what is needed for my personal collection, they will become available on these pages.
